蘇姿丰博士出生於台南,3歲時移民美國,後取得麻省理工學院電機工程碩士及博士學位。畢業後,曾任職於德州儀器及IBM等高科技公司,負責先進半導體產品的開發,其後陸續擔任飛思卡爾公司的技術長以及資深副總裁暨網路與多媒體部總經理。2012年出任AMD資深副總裁暨全球事業群總經理,並在2014年成為該公司首位女性執行長,2022年出任該公司董事長。
蘇博士是首位成為美國半導體大廠CEO的華人女性,在她的領導及推動改革之下,AMD從面臨危急存亡之際,一躍成為全球知名的科技公司。她領導AMD轉型成功的故事,也成為全球企業經營者的典範。
蘇博士的成就及貢獻使其獲獎無數,包括美國國家工程院院士、美國藝術與科學學院院士、電機電子工程師學會(IEEE)羅伯特·諾伊斯獎章 (Robert N. Noyce Medal)、全球半導體聯盟的張忠謀模範領袖獎,以及二度獲《財富》雜誌評選為「商界最具影響力女性」,以及獲得《巴倫週刊》全球最佳CEO獎、國際和平榮譽獎,她也是美國拜登政府的科技顧問。
蘇博士透過推動技術創新和擴大產品組合,為AMD的成功做出了貢獻。她的領導策略也讓AMD在市場上取得了穩固的地位。此外,她的成功故事以及積極參與女性領導力和STEM教育,也激勵著許多投入科技領域的女性與有意願投入的年輕人。

Dr. Lisa Su was born in Tainan and immigrated to the United States at the age of 2, receiving her bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees in electrical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. After graduation, Dr. Su worked in high-tech companies such as Texas Instruments and IBM; specifically, she was responsible for developing advanced semiconductor products. Subsequently, she served as the chief technology officer, senior vice president, and general manager of the network and multimedia department for Freescale Semiconductor. In 2012, Dr. Su joined AMD as the senior vice president and general manager of global business units; she then became the first female chief executive officer (CEO) for the company in 2014. In 2022, she became the chair of AMD.
Dr. Su is the first Asian American female CEO of a major American semiconductor company and led the transformation of AMD into a high-performance and adaptive computing leader, and one of the fastest growing semiconductor companies in the world. Her story of leading the successful transformation of AMD has made her a paradigm for global business leaders.
Dr. Su has earned countless awards for her achievements and contributions, including membership in the National Academy of Engineering, a fellowship of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, the Robert N. Noyce Medal from the Semiconductor Industry Association, the Dr. Morris Chang Exemplary Leadership Award from Global Semiconductor Alliance, one of the Most Powerful Women in Business by Fortune Magazine, the World’s Best CEOs by Barron’s Magazine, and International Peace honoree. She is also a member of the U.S. President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology.
Dr. Su contributed greatly to AMD by driving its technology innovation and expanding its product portfolio. Her leadership also earned AMD a solid position in the market. Furthermore, her story of success and active involvement in women’s leadership and science, technology, engineering, and mathematics education have inspired many women working in the field of science and technology as well as young people who aim to pursue their careers in the field.
Dr. Su’s leadership style and contribution to the industry and society render her an exemplary model for all teachers and students of National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University. On behalf of National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, I hereby confer an honorary doctorate on Dr. Su in recognition of her major contributions to business operations and society.
